This menu item displays a file selection dialog where a file name for exported objects can be entered. If the Filter Layers/Groups for Print/Export dialog (Filter Layers/Groups for Print/Export) has an active scope, every visible object on an included Layer is exported regardless of selection; otherwise, the current selection (Select) is exported – and at least one of the two is required, or the command reports that nothing is selected. The export file will have an dxf extension.

Exported files can then be imported into other CAD programs.
